Revamp'd Radio Blog

I finally changed up my radio blog. I don’t think anybody listens, but I decided I want it to be fresh again. So click the listen link to enjoy!

The semi-theme this time is pretty shallow. It’s just all about the ladies with pretty songs. The contents are as follows (since I don’t have artists displayed on the radio blog):

Ladies, Ladies…

  • Lloyd, I’m Ready To Be Heartbroken – Camera Obscura
  • Tom the Model – Beth Gibbons and Rustin’ Man
  • Nothing and Nowhere – Emily Haines and the Soft Skeleton
  • Les Yeux Bleus – France Gall
  • Don’t Blame Your Daughter (Diamonds) – The Cardigans
  • Il N’y A Pas d’Amour Heureux – Francoise Hardy

Regeneration! Resurrection!

It is so NOT time for this, but I’ve been having awful mood swings lately. The latest one brought on this paralayzing fit of grief and nostalgia for the days when I used to write five times a day and code dozens of layouts for this blog but never finish them. I almost started crying.

So for a moment, just a moment, I felt all of my eloquence rushing back to me. I almost felt like I could explode into some thousand words.

I think I actually might not be able to now, but I think the advent of school which brings literature and composition classes might be loosing my diary writing tongue. A most unexpected development.

Maybe I should start writing again. Maybe I should tell anyone around all about the adventures of school, planning a wedding, and mini vacations in which I see and make out with my fiance. It’ll probably be all mundane shit but I can’t be bothered to care anymore. I think I’ve finally kind of grown out of an audience. I’ve just been out of the diary loop for too long.

We’ll see where this goes. In the mean time, everyone rest assured that I am breathing, sleeping, eating, and above all, happy.

Postscript: I cleaned out my articles today. I just wanted to have no more drafts or hidden entries. I discarded a few I didn’t care for at all anymore, and revealed two because I figured there was no point in keeping them hidden. Enjoy those!

Bear With Me...

I’ve hit some kind of terrible writer’s block. I have piles and piles of ideas for things to write about, plus I need to bring forth a detailed report of the past eventful week for inquiring minds, but I do not seem to have the motivation, inspiration, or energy to write anything up. So please excuse me if things are slowgoing around here the next couple days. I’m trying to pull myself together so I can get this diary and its readers up to speed.

Would You Like Some Pink With That?

I understand that I’m just updating with trash, and this is merely another trash update, but I’m still tweaking, ok? My style sheet is a horror and I need to organize it nicely. Also, I don’t think I’m happy with the colors. There seems to be too much pink everywhere. I don’t know. The template just feels inadequate and lacking. Or maybe that’s just me.

So I’m going to keep working now. Please give me any suggestions on anything that could be improved, or tell me of any bugs you find anywhere on the site. I need input. Sometimes I might miss a problem.

I am also working on a guestbook, ok?

And finally, I’d totally love it if someone would just take me to this concert. And my sister. We’re dying to go. Gah! If only… One day I will see them in concert! I swear! I will!

Radio Blog Update

A new radio blog playlist has been born! Just check out the “play some tunes” link at the top of the page under the search feature.

This, as most of my playlists, is a semi-themed list. A group of songs which I felt fit together content and sound wise. I’m not entirely sure what to tell you the theme is, because I really don’t know myself, but it has one. Almost.

I’m actually not terribly happy with it, because I couldn’t put Lost at Sea from Eisley on it. But I believe I’m finally over that. Due to my dissatisfaction though, this might be short lived and quickly give way to a new, completely different playlist. We’ll see.

For now though, let’s just talk about this one.

Overcome Building Blocks

  • Tisbury Lane – From Mae. I really don’t know why this song is here. I almost wish I hadn’t put it up. It’s not that it’s a bad song, just maybe not the best choice to share with the world.
  • Science vs Romace – From Rilo Kiley. I would almost say that I am happiest with my choice of this song for the playlist, but I hesitate. I haven’t listened to it very much. Maybe that’s why I say that, then. In any case, it’s still kind of nifty. The vocals slightly remind me of Leigh Nash’s.
  • Pale Trembles A Gale – From The Autumns. Lovely, lovely song. Often hailed as their best.
  • Nightingale – From Saves the Day. Not a favorite artist, but a nice song.
  • Carousels – From mewithoutYou. I had to put this song in here. My whole template is based around it. Now, taste the inspiration
  • Naked As We Came – From Iron & Wine. A pretty song.
